I am rather taken with the frou-frou petticoat, which seems to have
a tartan pattern [!] But the little girls' full slip is just too sweet
for wards, with all those ribbons and bows, and the beautiful ribbon insert
shoulder straps. Wouldn't your hesrt race if Mummy gave you one of these
for Christmas?

Another McCalls pattern, and a rather unseasonable one, at least for those north of the Line. It is from the 1950s, and Mary Beth and Jacqueline were very taken by the bloomer swimming costume - shades of the Edwardian era! It just shows that bloomers can be worn on all occasions.
