Letter 14
PENELOPE'S 'HUMILIATION PINNIE'
From Lesley

Dear Susan,

First of all, congratulations on the continuing excellence of your site. The Christmas Annual was a triumph, and the excellent
January issue was, of course, made for me by the inclusion of the picture of my housemaid-husband, Penelope.Thankyou for your
kind comments - it has, obviously, taken a great deal of time and work to get Penelope to just the look of abject servitude that
I thought appropriate, and the approval of an expert such as yourself is most welcome. Penelope was, of course, mortified to see that his ridicule now extends to ladies across the world on the web!

His pinnie, to which you refer so kindly, is, I think, a masterpiece, and produced near panic in Penelope the first time he saw it
and realised he was taking yet another step down the road to complete 'pettification'. I, myself, was delighted, the excellent
dressmaker having added a number of imaginative touches to my own sketch, to make this what I consider the perfect 'humiliation
pinnie'. The picture you kindly published is, in fact, his Summer 'show costume', and I enclose a couple of him in what I believe is
his even more humiliating winter outfit. The very frilly pink blouse, which was made by the same dressmaker, complements the
pinnie very nicely, and, as you will see, I insist on very full petticoating, with layers of full-length heavy petticoats over a beautiful pair
of old-fashioned pink satin bloomers. There can be no possible doubt in his mind, or that of anyone seeing him, that, clad in his
'maxi-pinnie', his pretty blouse, and his elaborate bloomers and petticoats, that this is one VERY petticoat-controlled male!

You say in your comments, Susan, that he might secretly enjoy his time in petticoats. This may well be true if left to his own
devices, but what I can assure you he certainly does not enjoy is, as I referred to in my previous letter, his ocassional exposure,
thus attired, to groups of my friends. His tears and pleadings the first time I dressed him for such an ocassion in his (pictured) full
'winter show costume', were a joy to behold, and might even have produced some leniency from me had my resolve not been
stiffened by my mother and sister.

Any misgivings I might have felt however, were more than overcome by the hoots of delight and derision from my four other guests when Penelope presented himself, so prettily attired, for their inspection. Their approval was such that  two of them requested the number of my pinnie-making friend - so their husbands may well have a nice surprise coming - I have been invited to a coffee morning next month at one of their homes, nothing has been said, but I think it might be interesting! No, I can assure you that Penelope certainly does not enjoy this! Picture, if you will, a man who is a succesful, powerful businessman, dressed in this ultra-feminine outfit, standing in the middle of a group of mocking women, curtsying demurely, and having to allow them to intimately check and admire every detail of his humiliating apparell - the very threat of the next such ocassion reduces him to putty in my hands - this, I think is real petticoat control!

One thing you mentioned in your comments on my letter is that you think his 'pretty outfit' is much better than a brief maid-type
costume. I am sure that all of us 'petticoat disciplinarians' have our own views, and I look forward to hearing more of them on your
site, but I do not entirely agree with you. The 'pretty in pink' outfits in which I dress Penelope when he is being punished or 'on
show' (hence my use of the term 'show costumes'), are just that really. They are designed for maximum humiliation, not
practicability.  They demonstrate to Penelope, and to my special friends and relations, just what control I have over him, and how
incredibly petticoated and pinafored I can make him when the whim takes me.The voluminous petticoats, frilly blouses and pinnie
are, however, not really very practical when serious work is to be done! For this I use a nice simple, shortened Alexandra waitress
dress, a frilly white tabard and maid's cap with no wig, and no elaborate underwear. Thus dressed, as quite simply a 'male
housemaid', he is put to work very effectively on a variety of household tasks at weekends, which before my assumption of petticoat
control, would have been unproductively spent at golf or cricket or something! Strangely, despite my offers, he doesn't seem to want
to go out in his overall! I also enclose some pictures of him in his working costume - what do you think?
Yours in petticoat power,

Lesley.

First let me congratulate you, Lesley, on the presentation of your letter. It required hardly any editing at all, and it would be a pleasure if all letters were written to your standard.

I must say I still prefer Penelope in her 'punishment pinnies', and in the winter outfits she is as thoroughly petticoated as any man could be. Wearing all those old-fashioned petticoats and bloomers must be a trial for her, but no doubt what she richly deserves. I know from other letters that I receive that successful men of business can assume a very high-handed attitude with their wives and family, and are in need of some deflating.

Here is the picture of Penelope in her working clothes. What do readers prefer?
Susan
