A manger who behaves like a little boy
Dear Aunty Helga,

I thought you and your readers may be interested in hearing how the female staff in one organization deals with badly behaved male managers. I recently met a friend for a game of bridge who is currently working as a care assistant in an older persons setting. As I am sure you can understand, in this type of job it is important to be able to have an effective team and support from your manager.

As my friend explained, their previous manager had to retire and she was replaced by a young man called Christopher who appears not to have experience in managing this type of setting, or the kind of ladies who are employed as care assistants. Following a number of verbal exchanges where he was rude and arrogant toward members of the staff, they decided to do something about it. One must also remember that many of the ladies had grown up families, and a great deal more life experience in dealing with people than the young man who was now their manager.

My friend described how he often behaved like a little boy, by shouting at them if he thought they were not undertaking their tasks in accordance with company policy. He also had a habit of doing what he was told by his own line manager, who was in charge of a number of care homes within the organization. To impress his manager, he had recently had the home refurbished, and spent a considerable amount of the budget, rather like a little boy in a sweet shop. He also had a habit of lying and wriggling out of anything that would cause him to get into trouble. Thus from his behavior, it was clear to the ladies that something had to be done. So over coffee during the staff break they came up with a plan. From now on seeing that he was behaving like a little boy, they decided he would now be treated like a little boy.

As my friend pointed out, the ladies were able to report their concerns to his manager, who, un be known to Christopher was able to arrange a last minute staff meeting. As Christopher walked into the staff room he found himself surrounded by both his staff and manager, an older lady with considerable experience. After reading the riot act to him about how he treated his staff he was given an ultimatum. He could either resign, or accept appropriate disciplinary action. Not wanting to lose his job, Christopher chose the later.

He was then frog marched into the corner by two of the ladies, and despite his protests was undressed in front of them all, and made to stand facing the wall, with his hands on his head. He was them told by his manager that from now on considering that he had behaved like a little boy, he should obviously be treated like one. So there and then his title as a manager where removed, as were all his adult trappings. After remaining in the corner for half an hour, he received his first over the knee smack bottom, by his manager and then had to sit cross legged on the floor. To the delight of the ladies he was instantly replaced by an older more mature manager, so they went happily back to undertaking their care duties with the residents.

A few months later, the senior manager invited some of the staff to a party at her home. As my friend walked into the lounge, she could hardly believe her eyes. Sitting cross legged on the floor she noticed Christopher, or should I say 'Chrissy'. Gone was his trendy hair cut, to be replaced by a pudding basin short back and sides, with a fringe. His business suit had been replaced by a Dora the Explora short sleeved t shirt, a little pair of grey pocket less school short trousers with an elasticized waist, plain white ankle socks with turn downs, and brown leather strap shoes.

As my friend's new manager pointed out, much to his humiliation she had dressed him in his Dora the Explora T shirt, especially for the party. His adult clothing had all been replaced by sissy little boy / gender neutral outfits. She had kept him in black slip on school plimsolls, but had recently decided to introduce pairs of traditional leather t bar sandals, in red and blue. She was also considering home teaching him so had also started purchasing some appropriate items of school uniform, notably grey shorts, and brown mary jane strap shoes. He appeared to have a tear stained red face and was sucking his thumb. It was also noticeable form the slight bulge in the short trousers that he was wearing plastic training pants underneath them. My friend mentioned to her new manager that if it was not for his hair and short trousers, he could almost be taken for a little girl. This made him cover his face with his hands and start crying again. My friend said that she almost felt sorry for him, but after remembering how he use to treat his staff, she quickly changed her mind.

My friends new manager explained that he had just had a smack bottom in front of the guests, because he started kneeling on the floor, instead of sitting cross legged as instructed. Since becoming a sissy little boy, his behavior has improved. However Mummy still had to give him an over the knee smack bottom from time to time to remind him what happens when he is a naughty. So for the rest of the afternoon, he then remained quite and subdued, sitting cross legged on the floor.

In fact he was generally ignored by the other guests. Because he had been a good little boy, 'mummy allowed him to watch a Dora The Expora Cartoon. Then at 6PM, mummy turned the television off and Chrissy was undressed in the lounge, and put in a yellow all in one sleep set with pictures of the telly tubbies, and taken by the hand up to the nursery for bed. The guests were then able to get on and enjoy the rest of the party.

So for the benefit of your readers that is how one organization has developed a policy for dealing with former rude male manages.

PS: this is a pair of new shoes that the ladies from the Bridge Set have kindly donated for Chrissy to wear during special punishment days when he is reminded of what happens if he is a naught little boy.

Thank you for your letter Timothy. I'm sure the ladies did the right thing, it's just amazing to me how many males think they can get away with treating us as second class citizens and I hope this will be a lesson to all you ladies out there to take control of the situation.
